CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Policy Statement

The Company believes in corporate excellence and social welfare. This corporate philosophy is the force for integrating Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) into Company’s values, culture, operation and business decisions at all levels of the organization. Being a responsible corporate citizen, the Company has a value system of giving back to society and improving life of the people and the surrounding environment.

The Company believes that the Corporate strategy which embraces social developments an integral part of the business activities ensure long term sustainability of business enterprises. With this belief, the Company is committed to conduct its business in a socially responsible, ethical and environment friendly manner and to continuously work towards improving quality of life of the communities in its operational areas.

CSR in Financial Year 2017-18

The Company has contributed Rs. 164.21 Lacs during the financial year 2017-18 under CSR policy of the Company for the following activities:

• For the Promotion of education, the Company has supported Schools at Moonak Distt. Sangrur (Pb) namely Govt. Senior Secondary School (Boys), Govt. Senior Secondary School (Girls),Bhagat Ravidas Govt. Primary School, Govt. Primary Girls School and ITI Moonak by renovating, modernizing and providing basic amenities and construction of Mid day Meal Hall in Govt. Senior Secondary School for Boys at Moonak (Rs. 63.28 Lacs)
• Contribution in Company run School set up in Jamshedpur. (Rs. 11.48 Lacs)
• Contribution for Sanitation and making available safe drinking water at Jamshedpur (Rs. 0.68 Lacs)
• Contribution for Environment sustainability and development of park (Rs. 70.55 Lacs)
• Contribution for Cleanliness - Cleaning of Roads (Rs. 3.09 Lacs)
• Contribution for Installation of CCTV Cameras for safety and surveillance at various places at Moonak (Rs. 3.38 Lacs)
• Contribution for Promotion of sports at Moonak (Rs. 0.14 Lacs)
• Contribution for Promotion of education the Company has made initiative in providing financial assistance/fee payments of the needy students (Rs. 7.61 Lacs)
• Contribution to Gaushalla for animal welfare (Rs. 2.00 Lacs) and
• Contribution to a charitable eye hospital for eye care for needy patients (Rs. 2.00 Lacs).

CSR in Financial Year 2016-17

The Company has contributed Rs. 113.16 Lacs during the financial year 2016-17 under CSR policy of the Company for the following activities:

• For the Promotion of education, the Company has supported Schools at Moonak Distt. Sangrur (Pb) namely Govt. Senior Secondary School (Boys), Govt. Senior Secondary School (Girls), Bhagat Ravidas Govt. Primary School, Govt. Primary Girls School and ITI Moonak by renovating, modernizing, providing basic amenities and bus transport facility to the students living in the vicinity and surrounding areas of these schools. At Govt. Senior Secondary School (Boys) the Company has installed D.G. Set, computers and video conferencing facilities and interactive panel for students for imparting them knowledge through satellite classes from high end faculty and was also constructing a hall for mid day meal. At Govt. Senior Secondary School (Girls), the company had contributed towards installation of RO, water coolers, computers and construction work. At Govt. Primary Girls School, the company has installed computers. (Rs. 75.51 Lacs)
• The Company has contributed in Company run School set up in Jamshedpur and has spent for sanitation, cleanliness and making available safe drinking water and for ensuring environment sustainability, in Jamshedpur near its manufacturing unit. (Rs. 15.71 Lacs)
• The Company has contributed to Bharat Prakash Foundation towards implementation of its project to provide safe drinking water to various anganwadis located in Chandigarh. (Rs. 0.77 Lacs)
• For protection of flora and promotion of environment sustainability and cleanliness the company has contributed dustbins, wooden carts, tree guards, park development and also a tractor for maintenance and development of the same at Moonak under Swach Bharat initiative of Central Govt. (Rs.18.97 Lacs)
• Promotion of education the Company has made initiative in providing financial assistance/fee payments of the needy students (Rs. 2.20 Lacs)

CSR in Financial Year 2015-16

The Company has contributed Rs. 81.56 Lacs during the financial year 2015-16 under CSR policy of the Company for the following activities:

• For the Promotion of education, the Company has supported “The Vatsal Chaya Trust” which is focused on enabling, educating and empowering urban deprived children and women. With the contribution of the Company, over 400 children comprising child beggars, child laborers, child vendors, rag pickers and girls facing gender bias are provided free transport, clothing, study related material , skill training, craft training etc. (Rs. 30.87 Lacs)
• The Company has set up a School in Jamshedpur near its manufacturing unit and providing education to over 100 children.(Rs. 7.42 Lacs)
• The Company has also spent for sanitation and making available safe drinking water and for ensuring environment sustainability in Jamshedpur near its manufacturing unit.(Rs. 2.90 Lacs)
• The Company has also supported Five Government Schools at Moonak Distt. Sangrur (Pb), by renovation and modernization of Govt. Senior Secondary School, Govt. Primary School, Govt. Girls High School, Bhagat Ravidas Govt. Primary School and Govt. Primary Girls School. These Schools were facing shortage/absence of some basic amenities for providing education to the children like proper sitting facility, benches/desks, toilets, clear pathways etc and all these factors were leading to loss of education to the students. The company has provided these facilities to the said schools. Beside this, the Company has also built an Anganbari room in Govt. Primary School and provided Computers in Govt. Sr. Secondary School and built a Hall room and a Verandah in the premises of Government Girls High School. (Rs. 40.37 Lacs)

CSR in Financial Year 2014-15

The Company has contributed Rs. 69.74 Lacs during the financial year 2014-15 under CSR policy of the Company for the following activities:

• For the Promotion of education, the Company supports “The Vatsal Chaya Trust” which is focused on enabling, educating and empowering urban deprived children and women. With the contribution of your company, over 650 children comprising child beggars, child laborers, child venders, rag pickers and girls facing gender bias are provided free transport, clothing, study related material , skill training, craft training etc. The “Vatsal Chaya Trust” successfully provides flexible options for these children to access school and helps them to bridge the many gaps they have in learning, hygiene, heath, nutrition as well as social and emotional skills. (Rs. 36.30 Lacs)
• The Company has set up a School in Jamshedpur near its manufacturing unit and providing education to over 100 children.(Rs. 6.51 Lacs)
• The Company has also spent for sanitation and to make available safe drinking water and for ensuring environment sustainability in Jamshedpur near its manufacturing unit.(Rs. 2.89 Lacs)
• The Company is also supporting two Government schools at Moonak (Punjab) by renovation and modernization of Govt. Primary School and Government Senior Secondary School, These Schools were earlier in a dilapidated conditions and schools building could fall at any time and were also facing with shortage/absence of some basic amenities for providing education to the children like proper sitting facility, benches, library, computer labs, canteen facility, sport facilities, uniform availability for the students, Toilets, clear pathways, clean drinking water etc. and all these factors were leading to loss of education to the students. (Rs. 15.54 Lacs)
• Contribution to Chandigarh Police for implementation of Chandigarh Police safety and Security initiatives for Citizens especially for women. (Rs. 1.00 Lacs)
• Contribution to a “Hansraj Trust” for promotion of “Bridge” a national recognized sport.(Rs. 7.50 Lacs)

CSR in Financial Year 2013-14

• During the financial year 2013-14, the Company has made contribution towards “The Vatsal Chaya Trust” which is focused on enabling, educating and empowering urban deprived children and women. With the contribution of your company, over 650 children comprising child beggars, child laborers, child vendors, rag pickers and girls facing gender bias are provided free transport, clothing, study related material, skill training, music, art, craft training and personality development. The Vatsal Chaya Trust successfully provides flexible options for these children to access school and helps them bridge the many gaps they have in learning, hygiene, health, nutrition as well as social and emotional skill.
